Migrating to Shopify Plus
How I led the Shopify Plus migration, including website design, development, content and SEO for BE Power Equipment
As the Design Team Lead at BE Power Equipment, I knew building a website wasn’t enough — we needed to build a system.
That meant creating a single source of truth for everything: product information, customer support, and high-performance growth through strategic Content Writing and SEO. I led the rollout of our full Shopify Plus Website Design and Development, making sure our entire lineup of power equipment didn’t just look great, but worked beautifully across every screen size.
From desktop to mobile, I crafted a user experience that made our product features easy to explore, simplified comparison, and gave potential customers the clarity they needed to hit “buy” with confidence.

How I reinforced Brand Design at BE Power Equipment
One of my favorite parts of leading design at BE Power Equipment is refining and reinforcing our brand identity to resonate with our target audience—industrial buyers, dealers, and sales reps. When I first began working with BE I noticed the alignment and proportions of the logo felt off. After further investigation I found that the icon and wordmark combination was completely misaligned by a few pixels.
This led me to explore further, into colors, typefaces, and pacakging. Finding multiple versions of their colors being used in multiple areas and inconsistencies in font styling across all mediums. I led the Brand Design initiative to ensure consistency across every touchpoint, applying principles of color theory, typography and strategic graphic design.
I collaborated with our leadership and employees to evolve our brand into something that truly reflects our values and strengths. From our digital design to our print design, I made sure that everything aligned, ensuring that our marketing email campaigns, social media marketing content, and website all carried a unified message that connects with our audience.

One of the most innovative projects I’ve led here was developing our Print Product Catalog with QR Codes that link directly to our website.
By embedding QR Codes throughout the catalog, I enabled our business-to-business customers to scan product pages with their mobile phones and go straight to the relevant online page. This approach made it incredibly easy for them to purchase or gather more details, regardless of device or screen size.
This initiative helped align our print and digital designs, maintaining a consistent brand identity and enhancing customer engagement. It also increased organic traffic and helped us meet our business goals by simplifying the buying process.
