I don’t just design apps — I design clarity. As a product designer, my role goes beyond UX/UI to include strategic responsibilities such as product strategy and cross-team collaboration. It's especially important in B2B SaaS where users don’t want more tools — they want fewer headaches. Aqtivate came to us with a bold goal: build a smarter, leaner project management platform that eliminates clutter and gets teams moving faster.

Designing for Speed, Clarity, Control
I led product design, UX and brand for Aqtivate — a powerful, intuitive project management app for enterprise and creative teams
From product architecture to visual design, I worked hands-on with the founders, product leads and dev team to turn that vision into a working product. Aligning on strategy was key to the project’s success. We followed a structured product design process to ensure the transformation from vision to reality was seamless. The result is a clean, modern interface that moves at the speed of enterprise — without the usual friction.

Whiteboard to Wireframe
I mapped user flows and designed a better experience for high-performance teams
Our first challenge was to rethink how teams actually manage projects. Most PM platforms are overloaded with tabs, features and cognitive friction. I helped simplify the entire experience — starting with whiteboard sketches, then wireframes, then UX testing.
We optimised for key tasks like creating a project, assigning teammates, setting deadlines and tracking progress. The app had to feel intuitive from the first click so I designed every screen to follow natural, familiar patterns — keeping learning curves low and usability high.
In building the design system we developed different colour schemes to support accessibility and maintain brand consistency across all interfaces. The modular system also allows teams to customise UI components to fit their specific workflows and preferences so users have control.
I delivered:
• User journey mapping from onboarding to daily workflows
• Wireframe system for desktop and mobile UI
• Streamlined IA with fewer steps and smarter page hierarchy
• Built-in onboarding flow for fast team setup
• UX testing sessions to refine interaction and layout decisions
• Functionality for both users and developers through a scalable design system
• Accessibility features including screen reader support to ensure inclusive user experiences

UI that works at the speed of thought
Component-driven design system to scale fast across web and mobile
Designing a great app once is hard. Designing it to scale without breaking is harder. I built a fully modular design system — from buttons and forms to modals and tables — with strict rules for spacing, colour and interaction states. When building the site I used a structured framework to organise content and user flows so the experience was consistent and clear throughout.
This gave our developers a plug-and-play visual library to speed up the build. It also made product updates faster and more consistent so future feature rollouts would look and feel like part of the same product.
I delivered:
• Full Figma design system with reusable UI components
• Grids, spacing and breakpoints for all screen sizes
• UI motion rules: hover, tap, loading, success, error
• High-accessibility colour palette and type hierarchy
• Developer handoff library with notes and usage guidelines
• Site highlights different pricing plans to guide users to conversion

Branding with Clarity and Confidence
Designing a brand identity that balances enterprise credibility and startup energy
SaaS brands often fall into two traps — too techy or too vague. We wanted Aqtivate to be right in the middle. I designed the brand identity to be instantly recognisable and scalable across app UI, marketing, investor decks and social.
The logo is clean, modular and typography-led. The colours are crisp and high-contrast without being loud. And the tone of voice is built around simplicity — saying just enough, never too much.
I delivered:
• Logo design for digital, mobile and app icon use
• Brand typography system with web-safe pairing
• Colour palette that supports dark/light UI
• Iconography and visual style guide
• Voice and tone guidelines for UX and marketing copy

Implementation and Onboarding Made Easy
First-time experience to get teams up and running fast
Rolling out new project management software shouldn’t slow your team down — it should speed up your progress from day one. With Aqtivate we designed an onboarding process that adapts to the unique needs of different companies, whether you’re a fast-moving startup or a large enterprise. The experience is optimized for both iOS and Android devices so every user — no matter their preferred mobile platform — can dive right in.
From the very first launch, users are guided through simple steps to set up projects, invite teammates and configure resource utilization tools. The onboarding flow is designed to reduce friction so teams can focus on collaboration and achieving their company goals, not wrestling with setup screens. We also built in opportunities for user feedback at every stage so we can refine the process and address real-world pain points as they arise.
By making implementation easy, Aqtivate lets teams focus on their big goals — like creating new products and streamlining their design process — while we handle the heavy lifting behind the scenes. The result is a project management app that feels tailored to your workflow, supports your development process and grows with your business.

Customer Support and Resources
Building a support ecosystem to always have the help you need
Great project management software is only as good as the support behind it. That’s why Aqtivate has a support ecosystem designed to empower users at every stage of their journey. Whether you’re researching how other businesses use the platform or need help customising features for your own company, our support channels are open.
Users can access a library of tutorials, webinars and step-by-step guides for both iOS and Android apps. Our customer support team is available via email, live chat and phone to help with issues or questions about the development process, feature customisation or best practices for team collaboration.
We actively incorporate user research and feedback into our product roadmap, using real-world examples and pain points to inform new features and solutions. This ongoing dialogue with our users ensures Aqtivate continues to evolve, meeting the needs of different companies and supporting a wide range of project management approaches. By putting customer success at the heart, we help teams get the most out of the platform and achieve their business goals.

Marketing Site
Fast, focused website to drive signups and brand credibility
The Aqtivate marketing site needed to feel like the product itself — fast, uncluttered and easy to understand. I designed and developed a custom site that takes users from awareness to action in a few scrolls.
We built the structure around SaaS conversion points: homepage intro, feature breakdowns, use cases, testimonials and clear CTAs. The site loads fast, scales cleanly on mobile and integrates with analytics and CRM tools.
I delivered:
• Site structure with conversion-focused layout
• Custom design system for site components
• Fast build with mobile-first approach
• SEO optimised content and meta tags
• CMS for scalable blog and updates

Product and Brand
Connecting the dots between UI, website and SaaS messaging
For most SaaS brands the product and marketing are disconnected. I made sure Aqtivate’s UI and website felt like one and the same. Typography, colour, spacing and even language were consistent from app to homepage.
This reduced cognitive friction, built brand trust and gave users a sense of cohesion across the entire Aqtivate experience — from first click to daily workflow.
I delivered:
• Unified design language across product, website and assets
• Consistent UX language in buttons, labels and CTAs
• Brand image style guidelines for marketing and UI screens
• Reusable UI blocks used on the web
• Product demo visuals used in landing pages
